Reverence - Raven of the West (27 Voices)

Reverence

       Reverence (RAVEN of the West)

We miss the ones who leave us. We just do.

Forever is a very long time

to live apart from those we love. It just is.

Yet, the wounded go on living –

in a different way, in a different place, with a sense

       of purpose.

       They have become the unknown,

entered its darkened mysterious chamber, opened

the vaulted barrier and crept through

into the blinding light of unknowingness.
This is yes. Take it or leave it.

They can feel our pain, but perceive things differently,

detached somehow. Unplugged from the drama –

with a longing / loving hand.  Untouched, to touch

at the root of the problem. Asking,

what would you have me do?
